Sheppard Pratt School in Hunt Valley is a nonpublic special education day school providing educational, therapeutic, and daily living services to students ages 5 to 21. Our tailored programs cater to students with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and other health impairments, ensuring each student receives the support they need to thrive. What to expect.
You will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students identified as needing support.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Identifying, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, voice, fluency, hearing, and language disorders in our student population
- Providing individual and group therapy tailored to the developmental needs of students and complete quality documentation
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary treatment teams.
- Developing and presenting speech-language programs for staff development and training.
- Staying current with advances in speech pathology and special education techniques, especially in school-based settings.

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, education and years and level of related experience.
What we need from you.
- A master’s degree in speech pathology from an accredited college or university.
- Must have licensure by the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
- Six months of related experience, which can include in an internship or practicum.
