⏰ Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM | Approximately 50 Hours Per Week

Join a concrete contractor supporting a major airport construction project in Tampa, FL. This role provides hands-on field safety oversight for concrete construction, scaffolding, elevated work, material handling, and daily construction activities within a fast-paced airport project environment.
The Construction Safety Manager will maintain a strong field presence while working directly with craft personnel and project supervision. Responsibilities include daily employee sign-in, Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), scaffold inspections, field observations, and ensuring all work is performed safely and in accordance with project-specific requirements.
Required Qualifications
✔ OSHA 510 Certification
✔ Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
Preferred Qualifications
⭐ Airport or aviation construction experience
⭐ Commercial concrete construction experience
⭐ Scaffold Competent Person experience
⭐ Fall protection and elevated work experience
⭐ Experience supporting large-scale commercial construction projects
⭐ CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential
What You'll Be Doing

Provide daily field safety oversight for concrete construction operations

Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas

Complete and maintain daily employee sign-in documentation

Develop, review, and administer daily Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)

Conduct daily scaffold inspections and monitor scaffold use
-
Monitor concrete placement, formwork, reinforcing steel, and related activities
-
Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
-
Monitor fall protection and elevated work activities
-
Ensure workers comply with project-specific safety policies and procedures

Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and coordinate immediate corrective actions

Review JHAs/AHAs, permits, and pre-task plans
-
Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel

Coordinate safety activities with project supervision and field leadership
-
Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation

Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports

Success in this role requires staying ahead of changing jobsite hazards, maintaining accurate AHAs and inspection documentation, ensuring scaffolds and elevated work activities are properly controlled, and consistently reinforcing project safety expectations with field personnel.
