This role provides hands-on safety oversight during a critical phase of construction involving crane operations, rigging, lift planning, precast panel installation, and elevated work.
The Construction Safety Manager will maintain a strong field presence while supporting crews during precast erection activities, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, project safety requirements, and safe work practices throughout all lifting and installation operations.
Required Qualifications
✔ OSHA 30 Construction Certification
✔ Current CPR/First Aid Certification
What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee daily safety activities for precast concrete erection operations
- Conduct daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews and verify documentation
- Maintain a highly visible field presence throughout erection activities
- Monitor crane operations, rigging, and lift plan execution
- Support safe installation of precast structural components
- Ensure compliance with fall protection requirements during elevated work
- Monitor barricades, controlled access zones, and exclusion areas
- Perform and coordinate fire watch activities as required
- Support spotting operations during equipment movement and lifting activities
- Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and field observations
- Provide daily safety coaching to craft personnel and field supervision
- Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation as needed
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, inspections, and compliance records
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
