Project Scope

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a large-scale Google Data Center construction project in Bridgeport, AL. This role will focus heavily on overseeing electrical installation activities, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.

The Safety Manager will play a critical role in maintaining a proactive safety culture by identifying potential hazards, enforcing OSHA standards, and partnering closely with contractors and project leadership. This position is essential to driving compliance, reducing risk, and ensuring the successful and safe execution of all electrical work on-site.

Qualifications

✅ OSHA 500 certification and/or BCSP certification (minimum CHST)
✅ Minimum 5 years of data center construction safety experience
✅ Strong experience with electrical installation oversight
✅ Proven ability to enforce OSHA regulations on active job sites
✅ Working knowledge of NFPA 70E standards

Additional Requirements

✅ Ability to work overtime and Saturdays during peak project phases
✅ Strong communication and leadership presence in field environments
✅ Ability to perform audits, inspections, and incident investigations

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and enforce all site safety protocols and OSHA compliance
  • Monitor electrical installation activities for safe work practices
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses
  • Perform regular site audits and inspections to mitigate risk
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions
  • Partner with project managers and subcontractors on safety planning
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting
