About the Role
- Electrical design for AC mains power, earthing, and DC systems for wireless telecom infrastructure
- Desktop analysis and route design of electrical service mains from survey inputs, maps, and images
- Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), cable schedules, and detailed electrical drawings to meet current and future load requirements
- Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards and specific client and authority requirements
- Liaise with electrical contractors and distribution network service providers (DNSPs) to determine scope and resolve power connection issues
- Manage applications for new connections, upgrades, and alterations to power supply
- Prepare technical documentation, standardised templates, and design guidelines
- Contribute to pre-construction risk assessment by understanding constructability and providing mitigation strategies
- Conduct site visits to identify point-of-supply (POS), cable paths, and confirm site conditions
- Define scope of works and provide design clarification to project stakeholders
- Review subcontractor deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and compliance
- Provide input into Power Viability Audits (PVA) and facilitate exemption processes where applicable
- Assist in project coordination by advising on power applications, timelines, and deliverables
- Participate in continuous improvement and mentoring of junior engineers
- Respond to design-related queries from TPG and other wireless clients
