Summary:

The Post Fabrication Technician is responsible for assisting the set up and operating of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments out of metals and other materials.


Required Experiences:

· Ability to read tape measure

· Basic math skills

· Attention to detail and initiative to be self-motivated and directed.

· Ability to listen, follow directions and communicate effectively.

· Interact in a professional manner with others.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Attend safety briefings and always maintain safe working conditions.

· Maintain condition, functionality and always use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

· Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or Vernier calipers.

· Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders.

· Maintain machines and tools in proper operational condition.

· Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine material requirements or assembly instructions.

· Communicate with supervisors to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems.

· Dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.

· Other duties as assigned by leadership team.


Physical Requirements:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to lift, feel, handle or free objects.

· The employee must be able to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, as well as wet weather.

· The employee frequently is required to talk, hear, and communicate with other employees.

· The employee must be able to move and/or lift objects up to 50 pounds often.

· All employees must wear company-approved safety glasses and steel toe boots while in the plant and warehouse areas.


First shift: 6am-4:30pm; Monday-Thursday
