Overview:

The Part-Time Revenue Cycle Coordinator assists with day-to-day revenue cycle operations across multiple Senior Helpers locations, including billing readiness, new client account setup, care documentation review, Long-Term Care Insurance reimbursement, Private Pay account follow-up, payment processing, and other routine billing activities.

Working under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Manager, the ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow established processes while maintaining accurate documentation and escalating issues as appropriate.

Essential Duties

  • Review new client reports and registrations for completeness, and enter or update demographic, billing, payer, payment, and financial information in applicable systems
  • Identify and follow up on missing information or documentation that may delay billing
  • Review care logs and related service documentation for completeness and billing readiness, including follow-up on missing or incomplete items
  • Validate billing screens and billing records for accuracy, including hours, rates, service periods, and other billing details prior to billing
  • Perform Long-Term Care Insurance reimbursement activities, including invoice preparation, submission of supporting documentation, tracking, and routine follow-up
  • Research declined or unsuccessful Private Pay payment transactions and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Process routine client payments, deposits, prepayments, autopay transactions, and payment posting for approved payment sources
  • Maintain accurate account documentation, notes, work queues, and tracking logs
  • Monitor the shared billing inbox and respond to or route routine billing inquiries as appropriate
  • Assist with routine billing cycle preparation and other assigned revenue cycle activities
  • Escalate payer, reimbursement, documentation, or account issues that require Revenue Cycle Manager review

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year of experience in medical billing, home care or home health, healthcare administration, accounts receivable, medical office operations, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review accounts, billing, and documentation information for accuracy and completeness
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills with the ability to manage recurring tasks, deadlines, and multiple priorities
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients, responsible parties, internal teams, and external contacts
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA requirements and demonstrated ability to handle confidential client, patient, healthcare, and financial information appropriately
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel, including email communication, spreadsheets, data entry, and routine tracking
  • Ability to learn and follow established billing processes, systems, documentation standards, and escalation procedures
  • Ability to work independently after training while recognizing when additional review or escalation is needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with WellSky or other home care/home health EMR systems
  • Experience supporting Long-Term Care Insurance reimbursement workflows
  • Experience with payment follow-up or collections
  • Experience with payment posting, remittance processing, or basic account reconciliation
  • Familiarity with healthcare billing documentation, payer requirements, reimbursement workflows, and revenue cycle processes
