About this role

About Seldon
We simulate real user behavior -
before anything ships.

The hardest part of building products isn't writing code - it's predicting human behavior. Until now, it's been guesswork. Seldon (formerly Blok) changes that: our multi-agent simulation engine predicts how real users respond to digital experiences before anything ships.

We're a high-velocity team of ~20 exited founders, engineers, researchers, and adventurers from 10 countries, backed by MaC VC, Protagonist, Rackhouse, Blank, and Weekend Fund, plus scouts at a16z, Greylock, and CRV. We're hiring a Member of Technical Staff (Full-Stack) to connect complex backend systems - multi-agent simulations, evaluation pipelines - to the frontend experiences customers use to decide what to build next.

What You'll Own & Build
01

Core platform - Build and evolve the Seldon platform (Python): where customers design experiments, run simulations, explore behavioral outputs, and decide what to ship.

02

Agent-to-product translation - Turn raw agent behavior into product functionality, bridging "what the system did" and "what the user should do next."

03

System visibility & trust - Build tooling that makes the system understandable, debuggable, and trustworthy.

04

User agency & decisions - Help define how users interact with simulations and make decisions from them.

05

Velocity & ownership - Own features end-to-end (backend to frontend to user impact), ship bi-weekly, and define best practices as we scale.

You Might Be a Fit If…
🛠️

8+ years building production systems across the stack, with a bias toward backend - an IC by choice, not a people manager

🤖

AI-native: hands-on with LLMs, agents, and simulation systems - you build for the user, not just the tech

🎯

Product engineer at heart: zero-to-one features that shipped and stuck, moving fast without regressing quality

🧘

High ownership, low ego: humble, coachable, and hungry for feedback

📍

SF-based: SoMA HQ Mon/Tue/Thu with the team, WFH Wed/Fri

🌱

Any background: dropouts to PhDs - how you think, build, and work in teams beats pedigree

Bonus: experience designing agentic systems or LLM-powered products, building internal tools or complex product workflows, or working in highly regulated environments.
