Position Overview
A reputed healthcare group in Dubai is seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist Pulmonologist with Australian Board qualification to join its medical team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for respiratory and pulmonary conditions while maintaining high standards of patient care and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive consultations, examinations, and assessments for patients with respiratory disorders.
- Diagnose and manage conditions including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, pulmonary infections, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and sleep-related breathing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and evidence-based guidelines.
- Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests and other relevant respiratory investigations.
- Manage both acute and chronic respiratory conditions and provide appropriate follow-up care.
- Assess and manage patients with sleep apnea and other breathing-related sleep disorders.
- Perform appropriate pulmonary procedures within the scope of practice and facility capabilities.
- Collaborate with intensivists, cardiologists, thoracic surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists when required.
- Educate patients regarding medication use, lifestyle modifications, disease management, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.
- Participate in clinical audits, departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and CME activities.
- Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, clinical protocols, and professional standards.
- MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
- Australian Fellowship/Board qualification in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, such as FRACP, or recognized equivalent.
- Eligible for Consultant / Specialist Pulmonologist licensing in Dubai, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements.
- Relevant post-specialty clinical experience in Pulmonology/Respiratory Medicine.
- Strong expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex respiratory conditions.
- Excellent clinical judgment, diagnostic, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Previous experience in a reputed hospital or healthcare group is highly desirable.
