Export Sales Coordinator - IFL

We are looking for an experienced and detail-focused Export Sales Coordinator to join our Christchurch-based team.

About the role

Reporting to the Export Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating export sales orders from initial order creation through to the delivery of final export documentation. This is a pivotal role that ensures our customers receive accurate, compliant and timely information while supporting the smooth movement of products to international markets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Processing export sales orders through our ERP system
• Managing customer order requirements and documentation instructions
• Coordinating freight bookings and shipment schedules
• Liaising with cold storage providers and internal teams to ensure accurate order fulfilment
• Preparing export declarations, shipping instructions and export documentation
• Working with MPI, Customs, Chambers of Commerce and freight providers to obtain required export certificates
• Ensuring all export documentation complies with customer requirements and destination market regulations
• Providing outstanding customer service and after-sales support
• Keeping customers and internal stakeholders informed of shipment progress and changes

 

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in an export, import, logistics or international customer service environment
• Proven accuracy and exceptional attention to detail when working with documentation
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive and customer-focused approach
• The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
• A collaborative team approach

The following would be advantageous:

• Export Declarant PIN
• Experience using M3 or similar ERP systems
• Experience using TradeWindow Prodoc or comparable export documentation platforms
• Knowledge of seafood, food manufacturing or export industries
