Insurance & Business Associate
About this role
Overview of Project INmersABILITY:
The (Re)insurance industry is evolving and becoming more inclusive, redefining what talent looks like for the future. In 2025, we took a bold step forward, with SCOR leading the way in establishing the (Re)Insurance Industry Alliance. This founding committee, comprising employees from SCOR, Howden, and Charles Taylor, was created to reshape workforce strategies and foster a more equitable and diverse talent pipeline.
Building off the success of the 2025 pilot initiative, this year’s Project INmersABILITY 2026/ 27 will see a revamp and the inclusion of a new partner, Allianz. Together, we purposefully designed it as 12 months journey to support and develop talent from Singapore’s disability community through a structured and progressive learning experience.
Participants build confidence, deepen their understanding of the market, and develop a strategic perspective over time through immersive work placements across the (re)insurance value chain, while gaining hands on experience in real business environments.
The journey begins at the Singapore College of Insurance (SCI), Project INmersABILITY's new education partner, where the incumbents are empowered to build a foundational knowledge of the (Re)insurance landscape through an introductory programme designed to prepare them for the industry.
Participants then embark on their first rotation at Allianz, where they develop a strong operational foundation and gain firsthand insight into how insurance functions at a fundamental level.
Following such, they subsequently transition to Howden, deepening their understanding of broking andadvisory services, including how risks are assessed, structured, and placed within the market.
The programme will finally culminate at SCOR, and they will consolidate their learning and develop a broader strategic perspective on the role of reinsurance within the ecosystem.
By the end of this structured journey across our Partner firms, participants will gain a holistic understanding of the (Re)insurance industry, supported by valuable skills, practical experience, and increased confidence to pursue careers across a range of functions. Beyond professional development, the programme also empowers participants to contribute to meaningful change by advancing disability inclusion and helping to build a more diverse and inclusive future for industry.

SCOR delivers advanced financial solutions, analytics and services across all dimensions of risk in Life & Health, Property & Casualty, and Investments.
Reinsurance lies at the intersection of technical expertise and scientific progress. Models, data, and pricing and reserving tools are essential, yet they are never sufficient on their own. Sound risk decisions require expert judgment, experience and perspective. This is what we call the Art and Science of Risk. Reinsurance is a knowledge industry, where expertise grows through accumulation, transmission and practice.
Across the Group, 3,600 experts based in more than 35 offices worldwide contribute to this collective intelligence. Actuaries, underwriters, risk management specialists, and Tech & Data experts transform data into insight, explore extreme scenarios, define the boundaries of insurability and help anticipate emerging risks. Together, they strengthen the resilience of SCOR, our clients and the societies we serve.
This expertise is built through shared experience, continuous questioning and collective reflection. Like artists, we belong to schools of thought, learning first to observe, then to replicate, and ultimately to innovate. This ongoing transmission of knowledge enables SCOR to develop a distinctive approach, combining rigor, creativity and long-term vision in the service of risk mastery.
This shared commitment underpins SCOR’s role as a global reinsurer. By turning risk into resilience and sustainable value, our collective of experts acts with responsibility and purpose. Together, we help protect the future, and shape it, for our clients, for society and for generations to come.
