Job Description

Scoot is the first Singapore carrier to operate the Embraer E190-E2, which will fly alongside our Airbus A320s and Boeing 787s.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Total flight time of more than 1,500 hours attained in SIA, on aeroplanes with MTMA of 5,700kg or more, of which at least 1,000 hours are on multi-engine jet or turbine commercial aircraft certificated for multi-crew operation

  • Performance records verification with SIA. Please apply only if you consent to us obtaining your performance and training records from SIA.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

When you join Scoot on VNPL;

  • First Officers will be on three (3) years Voluntary No Pay Leave scheme (VNPL).

  • Scoot will bear all training cost related to E190 Type-Rating, you will be bonded via a training bond for a period of three (3) years from check-out date. Should you not fulfil the training bond period, you will be required to pay the pro-rated bond amount to Scoot.

  • Any existing bonds with SIA will be novated to Scoot and the VNPL period will count towards service of these bonds.

  • Service length, hours and sectors will be recognised upon return to SIA.

  • AWS/Profit sharing bonus if applicable will be pro-rated accordingly.

  • Scoot benefits and terms are applicable during VNPL period.

Should you qualify for Command in Scoot;

  • First Officers selected for Command Upgrade in Scoot will be on an additional four (4) years VNPL period at Scoot from their Command check-out date.

  • Should the First Officer qualify for Command Upgrade in Scoot, you will be bonded via a training bond for a period of two (2) years from check-out date. Should you not fulfil the training bond period, you will be required to pay the pro-rated bond amount to Scoot.

  • The E190 Type-Rating Training Bond and Command Training Bond will run concurrently.

When you return to SIA:

  • SIA will bear all training costs upon your return after the VNPL period.

Applications will close on 30 August 2026. Shortlisted applicants will be notified to complete a selection process. Upon successful selection, date of transfer will be subjected to operational requirements at Company's discretion
