Responsible for the repairing and return of Company hand tools such as grinders, drills, chipping guns, needle guns, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains records of withdrawals, returns, breakage, reconditioning and other pertinent information such as logs, reports, repair records, etc.
Check tools for breakage and repair/recondition as necessary.
Trace misplaces or misdirected tools.
Keeps an inventory of parts on hand and other parts as needed.
Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and /or 12 months of training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, such as reports and repair orders to further provide documentation of completed tasks and future upgrades on equipment.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The employee must occasionally push and/or pull a maximum force of 200 ft-lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Close mental and visual application required to interpret drawings, layout, plan work, and weld. Good judgment in determining best method and procedure to be followed. Able to work on jobs while applying safety rules at all times.
