The Westminster University Performing Arts Department is hiring student employees across multiple areas and levels of responsibility. Positions by Area & Level 

 

Summer Camp 

 SummerSong Camp Counselor - Not Accepting applications (Level 4) $14.50/hour The SummerSong Camp Counselor is responsible for supervising and mentoring high school-aged pianists and vocalists participating in a week-long residential performing arts camp.

 

Box Office & Administration

Box Office - Accepting applications (Level 1) $11.50/hour – Assist patrons, sell tickets, and support front-of-house operations.

Performing Arts Administrative Assistant - Accepting applications (Level 3) $13.50/hour – This role plays a vital part in organizing communications, supporting Westminster Performing Arts Center daily operations.

 

Marketing & Promotion

Performing Arts Outreach Assistant - Accepting applications (Level 2) $12.50/hour – Help design promotional materials, manage social media, and market performances on campus and in the community.

 

Music Production Support

 Music Production Staff - Accepting applications (Level 2) $12.50/hour – Behind-the-scenes experience working with sound systems, stage setups, lighting, and concert logistics


Music Administrative & Ensemble Support
 
 • Orchestral Assistant - Accepting applications (Level 1) $11.50/hour - Provides essential support to the orchestra and its director by assisting with the management and organization of the music library, preparing scores, and ensuring rehearsals and performances run smoothly.
 
 • Choral Assistant - Accepting applications (Level 1) $11.50/hour - Provides valuable support to the Choir Director(s) and choir members by assisting with the management of the choral music library, preparing scores, and ensuring rehearsals and performances run smoothly


Scene & Costume Shops

Scene Shop Technician - Accepting applications (Level 1) $11.50/hour – Assist with set construction, painting, and basic carpentry tasks.

Scene Shop Crew Leader - Accepting applications (Level 2) $12.50/hour – Lead peers in scene shop operations, oversee safety, and manage daily tasks.

Student Assistant Technical Director - Accepting applications (Level 3) – Works under the direction of the Technical Director to support the smooth operation of the theatre shop and the timely completion of production tasks. 

Costume Shop Technician - Accepting applications (Level 1) $11.50/hour – Support costume builds, alterations, and organization.

Costume Shop Crew Leader - Accepting applications (Level 2) $12.50/hour – Supervise costume shop workflow and assist with fittings and production needs.

Costume Shop Assistant Manager - Accepting applications (Level 3) $13.50/hour – Provide advanced leadership and serve as a key liaison between designers and shop staff.
