Position Summary

The Club Sports Administrative Intern provides administrative and communications support to the Club Sports Department. This role offers hands-on experience in collegiate club sports operations, with opportunities to develop skills in communications and administration.

Note: Club Sports are rapidly growing at Westminster University, and this position will experience hands-on involvement in the launch and growth of new programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help ensure adherence to institutional rules and policies
  • Communicate with Director of Club Sports, coaches, and student leaders
  • Provide administrative support for athletics staff and special projects, which may include, but not limited to, budget reviews, club governance, registration and league membership needs, competition and event planning, and more.

Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student (preferred fields: sports management, communications, business, or related area)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Interest in collegiate athletics administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of snow sports (such as snowboard, freeski, freeride, etc) preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of snow sports competition preferred, but not required
