Assistant Sports Information Director Internship

Position Summary

The Assistant Sports Information Director Intern helps in all aspects of sports information, including maintaining the athletics website, managing statistics, and overseeing game-day operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student-athlete success and enhancing the visibility of Griffin Athletics across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the official athletics website (www.westminstergriffins.com), including game schedules, rosters, and results.
  • Compile, maintain, and distribute official statistics for all home and away contests, ensuring timely and accurate data in accordance with NCAA and RMAC standards. Maintain records and archives for all teams.
  • Produce game day programs, record books, and postseason materials.

Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student (preferred fields: sports management, communications, business, or related area)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Ability to work in stressful situations
  • Interest in collegiate athletics administration and compliance
