The Division of Student Affairs prioritizes creating an environment that encourages student exploration of self while pursuing community, belonging, and academic success. Westminster is a private comprehensive liberal arts institution committed to preparing students to lead lives of learning, accomplishment, and service, and to helping them develop the skills and attributes needed to thrive in a diverse and interdependent world. A culture of imagination, innovation, inclusiveness, and respect for difference is a hallmark of Westminster University.

Student Engagement and Belonging (SEB) is a department within the Division of Student Affairs led by the Director and supported by an Associate Director and an Assistant Director. SEB foregrounds belonging as a foundational element of an engaging campus life and student experience. SEB advances this mission by fostering student involvement, leadership development, identity exploration, cultural competence, community connection, and civil dialogue. SEB supports a vibrant campus life through the Associated Students of Westminster (ASW), Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), cultural and identity-based programming, first generation student initiatives, staff-led and student-led programming, and New Student Orientation.

Reporting directly to the Director of SEB, the Associate Director serves as a senior operational and programmatic leader within the department. The Associate Director provides leadership for student engagement operations, RSO management, student staff supervision, departmental processes, assessment and reporting support, and assigned initiatives that advance belonging, leadership development, and student success.
