Position Summary:
The summer intern will work closely with various departments within Meharry Medical College to gain hands-on experience and contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives. This internship offers an opportunity to develop professional skills, expand knowledge in specific areas of interest, and gain practical experience in a higher education setting.
Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities) – Assign a percentage to each essential function (equal to 100%):
- Assist with administrative tasks as assigned – data entry, filing, and organizing documents

- Provide support for events, workshops, and seminars hosted by the college

- Assist with social media management, including content creation and scheduling posts

- Collaborate with team members on special projects and assignments

- Provide support to faculty members in preparing course materials and presentations

- Attend meetings and training sessions to gain exposure to various aspects of college operations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Prior experience in a related field is a plus but not required
Education and Experience:
- Varies based upon applicant age.
- Internship will last eight weeks.
