About this role
Essential Functions (Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities):
- Computational and statistical analysis of genomic and biomedical data (40%)
- Development of AI/ML methods and bioinformatics pipelines (30%)
- Manuscript preparation, presentations, and grant support (20%)
- Mentoring and training students (10%)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Solid computing background or data experience, e.g., high-performance computing and machine learning.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or related programming languages for data analysis and scientific computing.
- A good understanding of genetics or molecular biology is a plus, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Preferred:
- A computing background is preferred
Education and Experience Required:
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Genomics, Biomedical Informatics, or a related quantitative discipline.
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Experience in bioinformatics, genomics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or biomedical data science is preferred.
