Mission (About the Role)
The Purchasing Business Finance Partner will be a key member of EA Procurement leadership team developing strategy, setting targets and animating cadence of performance reviews. He/She will challenge Supplier Productivity, Quality and Delivery performance through leverage of effective performance metrics.
Additionally, he/she wil support and interact with key stakeholders in GSC Regions, BU’s, Operations and Corporate Functions and promote financial awareness of non-finance employees
What will you do?
- Animate Annual Procurement Operational Planning process (“APOP”) ensuring it supports the direct material productivity and base cost targets for the Y+1.
- Challenge Global Markets, BU Procurement and GSC Region Clusters to set targets consistent with the requirements of the Procurement Region target.
- Animate quarterly rolling forecast process for productivity and base cost to enable identification of gaps to target.
- Drive productivity Short Interval Management (“SIM”) meetings to identify, prioritize, fund and track actions to close gaps to target.
- Take ownership of the productivity pipeline tracking process and tools (iSave, Prism, etc) for GSC International EA, working with buyers and GSC Finance to ensure that productivity calculation rules are deployed effectively and consistently.
- Take ownership of the raw material inflation impact process and tool (“RMI”) for the GSC International EA perimeter ensuring that inflation impacts are appropriately recorded
- Leverage the BVD portal to evaluate financial health of suppliers in the GSC International EA perimeter and work as part of the team which drives mitigation actions in cases of identified risk.
- Take ownership of the cash improvement actions together with the Cash champion of the Region
- Work with GSC International EA procurement, Category managers and global network of controllers to ensure all relevant Key Internal Controls are implemented and are operating effectively
- Manage transversal projects for Global Procurement Finance as required
What qualifications will make you successful?
- At least 10 years of experience as a Finance Business Partner
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Engineering, IT or equivalent
- Digital Native, with proven experience in deploying digital automation to deliver prescriptive and predictive analytics for business performance insights
- Strong analytical skills & ability to organize, summarize & articulate complex data for decision making
- Proficient in English, oral and written
- Passion for continuous improvement & change management
- Ability to build credibility and animate networks outside functional area
