CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level 3: The role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:
The Disaster Risk Reduction & Climate Change Adaptation (DRR/CCA) Officer will support the implementation of the Building The Climate Resilience of Children and Communities through the Education Sector -BRACE program at the county level, focusing on strengthening the resilience of the education sector to climate shocks. The role involves contributing to child-centered DRR/CCA programming and providing technical and operational support to ongoing activities in schools and communities. The Officer will be responsible for ensuring that quality programs are initiated and that DRR/CCA is effectively mainstreamed into the education sector. |
