Position Summary
The MEAL & Reporting Officer is responsible for establishing and managing the project's Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning systems to ensure effective tracking of project performance, data quality, accountability to affected populations, and evidence-based decision-making. The Reporting Officer will support the collection, analysis, and reporting of project data related to health, nutrition, and WASH interventions while ensuring compliance with donor and organizational requirements
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement project monitoring and evaluation plans, tools, and reporting frameworks.
* Ensure timely collection, verification, analysis, and reporting of project data and indicators.
* Monitor project progress against targets and provide regular performance updates.
* Conduct routine data quality assessments and support data validation processes.
* Maintain project databases and information management systems.
* Support baseline assessments, surveys, evaluations, and other monitoring activities.
* Establish and manage beneficiary feedback and complaints mechanisms.
* Produce regular reports, dashboards, and data summaries for project management and donors.
* Train and mentor project staff on data collection tools, reporting procedures, and accountability standards.
* Document lessons learned, best practices, and recommendations for program improvement.
* Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements and organizational MEAL standards
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in, Statistics, Public Health, Information Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in MEAL & reporting functions within humanitarian or development programs.
* Experience in data collection, analysis, reporting, and database management.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management platforms such as KoboToolbox, ODK, DHIS2, Power BI, or similar systems.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
* Knowledge of humanitarian standards, accountability frameworks, and results-based management.
* Excellent communication, coordination, and training skills.
* Experience working in emergency response projects is highly desirable
