Salary Range: | $75,000-135,000 The final base salary offered within this range will depend on a variety of objective factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, specialized technical skills, education, certifications, and geographic work location. Our internal pay structure is designed to allow placement across the range based on candidate qualifications relative to internal peer equity. In addition to base salary, candidates possessing an active, verifiable security clearance (e.g., Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI) may be eligible for a government clearance differential or specialized premium pay. Final compensation placement is determined by clearance level, polygraph status, and contract-specific customer requirements. This position is eligible for performance bonuses, sign-on incentives, and comprehensive benefits. The advertised range represents the good-faith anticipated hiring range for this specific vacancy and does not represent SANCORP’s complete internal compensation band, proposed contract labor rate, billing rate, or total cost to the Government. |
Responsibilities:
SANCORP is seeking a Staff Officer III Expertise on DoD coordination to support the Office within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)) and its directorates. The following are examples of responsibilities:
- Provide daily operational support, offering in-depth strategic expertise for the development of operations security (OPSEC) policies, processes, and advisory services.
- Support the oversight and advocacy of OPSEC Programs.
- Provide input to briefings, staff summary sheets, information memorandums, action memorandums, and OPSEC Reports in accordance with DoDM 5110.01, Vol 1, “Manual for Written Material: Correspondence Management.”
- Participate and contribute to policy development, strategy, and compliance meetings relevant to OPSEC.
- Develop methods to provide oversight to generate data to evaluate OPSEC assess effectiveness.
- Periodically review OPSEC training curriculum designed for OPSEC practitioners to ensure the minimum relevant OPSEC training requirements are being met.
- Represent the OPSEC Division at key OSD and interagency- level meetings, prepare briefs and presentations, and solicit of input from OUSD(I&S) staff personnel for read-ahead/background information and point papers.
- Initiate and closely manage the coordination and collaboration of DoD Component and interagency actions to facilitate DoD decisions on requests for DoD OPSEC support.
- Apply expertise in DoD OPSEC policy needed to analyze and assess requests for DoD OPSEC policy support that meets the criteria DoD Directive 5205.02.
- Support implementation of DoD OPSEC Program standards and assessment criteria. Support DoD OPSEC Program compliance and staff assistance program implementation.
- Support execution of the DoD OPSEC Program assessment framework and periodic DoD OPSEC Program status reports.
