How You’ll Make a Difference
When equipment goes down, our customers count on us to get it back to work. As a Service Technician I, you’ll diagnose problems, make quality repairs, and help prevent issues before they happen. Your mechanical skills matter, but so does the way you work—with safety, integrity, and genuine care for the people around you.
What You’ll Do
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, including engines, electric motors, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, steering, electrical, and lifting systems.
Inspect equipment, identify potential problems and safety concerns, and rebuild or repair components and systems to manufacturer specifications.
Put safety first every day by properly securing equipment, maintaining a clean work environment, following DOT, OSHA, and company requirements, and participating in safety meetings.
Complete service documentation, manage the parts and supplies needed for each job, perform basic welding when needed, and complete required technical training and certifications.
What You’ll Bring
High school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and 1+ years of forklift repair or related mechanical experience; mechanical or trade school training is preferred.
A customer-first attitude with solid communication skills and a dependable, team-oriented approach to your work; Hyster-Yale Maintenance or Service Technician certifications are a plus.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 75 pounds, along with availability for an on-call schedule as needed.
