About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Network Field Technician (Tier 2) to join a growing team supporting enterprise data center deployments in Santiago, Chile.

You'll work alongside experienced network engineers and project managers, delivering high-quality infrastructure deployments for enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and support network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless access points, PDUs, and fiber/copper cabling.

  • Rack, stack, and cable equipment following data center and networking standards.

  • Perform fiber installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting independently.

  • Interpret technical documentation, including network diagrams, port maps, rack elevations, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

  • Assist with site readiness assessments, including power, cooling, and rack infrastructure.

  • Conduct pre- and post-installation wireless site surveys using industry-standard tools.

  • Collaborate with Network Engineers and Project Managers during deployments, troubleshooting, and change implementations.

  • Accurately document completed work, inventory usage, and site conditions.

  • Ensure all installations meet quality, safety, and customer standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience installing and testing fiber optic infrastructure, ideally within a data center environment.

  • Strong knowledge of fiber optic technologies, structured cabling, patch panel management, and fiber types.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, network documentation, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

  • Strong troubleshooting skills related to fiber connectivity and network installations.

  • Fluent English and Spanish, both written and spoken.

  • Comfortable working in physically demanding environments and lifting equipment when required.

  • Based within commuting distance of Santiago.

Nice to Have

  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.

  • Experience performing wireless deployments and Wi-Fi surveys using tools such as Ekahau or NetAlly.

  • Experience working in enterprise, multi-site, or large-scale data center environments.

  • Familiarity with networking equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or HPE.
