About the Opportunity
We are looking for motivated Network Field Technicians (Tier 1) to join a growing team supporting enterprise data center deployments in Santiago, Chile.
This is an excellent entry point into the data center and networking industry. If you have experience in a hands-on technical environment and are eager to build a career in network infrastructure, you'll receive on-the-job training while working alongside experienced technicians and engineers on large-scale projects.
You'll be joining an expanding operation with long-term career development opportunities and clear progression into more advanced technical roles.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, racking, and cabling of network equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
Support the installation and termination of fiber optic and copper cabling under the guidance of senior technicians.
Perform basic troubleshooting of physical network connectivity issues.
Follow network diagrams, rack layouts, and installation plans accurately.
Assist with Wi-Fi survey preparation and equipment setup.
Label equipment, document completed work, and maintain organized project records.
Support site readiness activities, including rack preparation, cabling routes, and power checks.
Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism on site.
Required Qualifications
1–2 years of experience in a process-driven, hands-on environment such as IT support, networking, field services, telecommunications, construction, logistics, mechanical trades, or similar technical work.
Basic understanding of structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber optics), or transferable experience working with cables and wiring.
Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken).
Strong willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
Excellent work ethic with strong attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Comfortable using hand tools and working in physically demanding environments.
Ability to lift equipment when required.
Based within commuting distance of Santiago.
Nice to Have
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCT, or equivalent, or currently working toward one.
Basic understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, patching, and network ports.
Experience with structured cabling, telecommunications, or data center environments.
