About this role

What we're looking for:

We need someone with 7+ years of experience in Wills & Estates law who has strong commercial acumen and the ability to think beyond traditional billable-hour models. You should be comfortable leading a team in a tech-enabled legal practice and have a track record of driving practice growth, improving legal quality, and mentoring junior lawyers. Bonus points if you've run your own practice or worked in operationally sophisticated legal service models.

What you'll do:

Lead and grow a modern Wills & Estates practice across estate planning, probate, and estate administration

Take ownership of practice strategy, revenue forecasting, and team effectiveness within a pod-based operating model

Work closely with executive leadership to plan team structure 12-18 months ahead based on commercial indicators and conversion metrics

Set the bar for legal quality, supervision, and client service across the practice

Mentor and develop lawyers and legal support staff, lifting capability through structured feedback and coaching

Shape new business unit launches and identify commercial opportunities that fit within the firm's operating model

Advise on the design and improvement of Safewill's estate planning products and services, ensuring legal judgment is embedded in delivery
