In this key role you will combine handson operational support with technical expertise in electrical systems, SCADA/OT and cyber security, contributing directly to the performance and continuous improvement of our offshore wind assets.

About the role

As Operations Engineer Electrical Systems & Innovations, you will:

  • Review and follow up on problems, issues and alarms related to electrical systems and OT, including array cable repair plans and readiness

  • Act as technical owner of the maintenance plan for OT and SCADA equipment (e.g. HV SCADA, DTS, ICCP) including lifecycle management and optimisation

  • Provide engineering support for IT and OT, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners as required

  • Prepare work requests and RAMS packages for TenneT substation visits and support audits, management reviews and site visits with a focus on OT security

You will be part of the OranjeWind Operations & Maintenance team and work closely with site operations, engineering, asset management, central OT security and external service providers.

Job requirements and experience

  • Degree in electrical engineering, power engineering, energy technology, industrial automation or comparable technical discipline, or equivalent proven experience

  • Professional experience with electrical systems in power generation, transmission or industrial environments (preferably offshore wind or substations)

  • Solid understanding of SCADA and OT systems, including maintenance planning, lifecycle management and troubleshooting

  • Experience with data analysis and root cause analysis of technical issues, including use of relevant tools and methods

  • Familiarity with technical risk management, maintenance concepts and spare parts strategies in an operational environment

  • Knowledge of OT security and cyber security concepts, ideally in the context of NIS2 / CER or similar regulatory frameworks

  • Strong communication skills in English and the ability to coordinate across disciplines and with external stakeholders

  • Willingness to work in an offshore wind environment and to travel as required for meetings, site visits and offshore campaigns

Advantageous, but not essential

  • Experience with offshore wind farm operations, array cable systems and cable repair readiness
