Scope

Works with moderate direction and possesses the skills and knowledge required for the position. This role may also be described as a Senior Procurement Associate, Senior Procurement Specialist, or Contracts Manager. In addition to Level I responsibilities, the Contracts Lead II may manage highly complex contracts or portfolios requiring deep business knowledge.

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Negotiate contract pricing and terms and conditions directly with suppliers while partnering with internal stakeholders.
- Seek the lowest total system cost while appropriately mitigating supply, commercial, and legal risks.
- Execute Procure-to-Pay processes in full compliance with the Sourcing and Acquisition Handbook and CIMS (Controls Integrity Management System) catalogs.
- Fully leverage procurement processes, systems, and tools to select the most effective procurement method.
- Maintain an assigned agreement portfolio, including scope updates, pricing, exhibits, and amendments.
- Ensure contract compliance and utilization.
- Monitor supplier performance and troubleshoot performance, contractual, and transactional issues.
- Improve the transactional efficiency of agreements by effectively leveraging procurement systems.
- Identify business value, cost-saving opportunities, and other improvements within the portfolio.
- Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to meet business-line expectations.
- Recommend and implement fit-for-risk process improvements.
- Influence the development of category strategies and implement strategic and commercial guidance.
- Share portfolio-specific market intelligence with Category Networks.
