This position is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do:

• You will contribute your knowledge of programming, data analysis and problem-solving to modeling and simulation or related efforts.
• You will support, contribute, and collaborate in a team environment, receiving input and guidance from functional management, project leads, and more experienced teammates.
• You will gain an initial understanding of operational analysis by participating in either mission or campaign analysis, or other related projects.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the summer internship / session.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
• Prior RTX internship experience
• Python programming
• Experience with data analysis.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Specific majors: Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Math, Applied Math, Industrial Engineering, or related scientific or STEM discipline.
• Knowledge of DevOps, Git, databases, linux/UNIX
• Knowledge of C++, Java
• Awareness of Six Sigma techniques
• Experience with any modeling and simulation software
• Agile-style project participation
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

This position requires ability to obtain a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
