About the role:
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery
Lead and deliver complex analytics engagements across a range of sectors, with a strong emphasis on compliance, assurance and risk-related analytics, including:
Wage compliance and wage remediation programs
Internal audit analytics and continuous monitoring solutions
Fraud analytics
Data and AI governance reviews
Data migration and transformation assurance
Financial and operational data analysis
Responsibilities include:
Managing end-to-end engagements from proposal through to delivery.
Leading data-driven reviews involving large and complex datasets.
Designing and implementing analytics methodologies and testing approaches.
Presenting findings and recommendations to clients in a clear, practical and business-focused way.
Managing project budgets, timelines and team resources.
Coaching and developing consultants and senior consultants.
Working closely with the Sydney Risk Advisory team on engagements where analytics enhances risk, compliance or assurance outcomes.
Practice Contribution & Business Development
As a member of the Sydney and national Data Analytics & AI team, you will contribute to the growth of the practice through:
Building trusted relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Identifying opportunities to add value to existing engagements through analytics, automation or assurance-focused data analysis.
Supporting proposal development, tenders and client presentations.
Collaborating with the Sydney Risk Advisory team on joint opportunities and integrated client solutions.
Working with the Melbourne Data Analytics team to bring established service offerings to the Sydney market.
Contributing to thought leadership, marketing initiatives and industry networking activities where appropriate.
About you:
We are looking for someone with a genuine growth mindset who is excited by the opportunity to help build a stronger Sydney capability over time. The role is not intended to require an existing book of business, but it does require commercial awareness, client confidence and a willingness to contribute to sustainable growth.
Technical Environment
Our analytics solutions are primarily delivered using:
SQL
Python
Microsoft Fabric
Azure Data Platform
Power BI
AI and Generative AI technologies (Claude, LM Studio + open-source models)
You should have practical experience developing and leading analytics solutions using modern data platforms and be comfortable engaging with technical specialists. Deep hands-on expertise across every platform is not required, but you should be able to lead the design, delivery and interpretation of data-driven work.
Skills & Experience
Essential
5+ years’ experience delivering data analytics projects.
Strong project management and client relationship skills.
Experience managing and mentoring staff.
Experience working with large and complex datasets.
Ability to translate technical findings into business-focused insights.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Commercial mindset with experience managing engagement scope, budgets and profitability.
Experience using SQL and/or Python for data analysis.
Experience with Power BI or similar visualisation platforms.
Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders.

Deliver exceptional client outcomes across risk, compliance, assurance and analytics engagements.
Build strong working relationships across the Sydney Risk Advisory team and the national Data Analytics & AI team.
Contribute to sustainable practice growth in Sydney over time.
Support proposal and business development activity through strong technical and commercial input.
Develop and mentor high-performing team members.
Create practical analytics, automation and AI-enabled solutions that improve client outcomes.
Help establish RSM as a leading provider of analytics-driven risk, compliance and assurance services.
