The Royal Caribbean Group Guest Communications team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Analyst, External Communications reporting to Manager, Guest Communications.
Position Summary
Responsible for devising, writing and pitching copy from conception to completion for use in mass digital communications such as email, SMS, and push notifications. Drives the evolution and consistent application of brand tone and personality. Delves into the intricacies of the business in order to provide highly accurate & quality work by the required deadline. The external communications position lives within the company’s Guest Communications team, focusing on campaigns and deliverables to support the Guest Experience. Works closely with the Manager, and other members of the Guest Communications team, as well as Marketing, Revenue, Hotel Operations, & Deployment for project completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Concept and write email, SMS, and Push Notifications and other forms of digital/email collateral, as well as digital media, including web copy, banners and email, special projects, and other materials for consumer and trade media.
- Coordinate deployment of communications taking into account market, audience, impact to product, and guest sentiment.
- Partner with department to devise and present multiple creative conceptual options to deliver on client areas strategic and business needs.
- Drive brand consistency through ongoing development and implementation of brand guidelines for copy.
- Ensure timely release of new creative campaigns and deliverables.
- Provide copy direction and support to other internal client teams (BI Team, Onboard Marketing, Hotel).
- Proofread and review final material and suggest improvements as needed.
- Requires on-call hours after normal work hours including occasional Holidays.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills
- Minimum of BA in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or related field
- 3-5 years writing experience in advertising or related field
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Knowledge of English grammar and punctuation.
- Knowledge of Universal Spanish grammar and punctuation is preferred.
- Meticulous attention to detail; clear and concise communication, commitment to producing quality product; deadline conscious.
- Familiarity with digital media and mass communications.
- Knowledge of web writing and SEO best practices a plus.
- Software experience in Mac and Windows applications including Word and PowerPoint.
- AI Experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of visual design programs considered a plus.
