Company at a glance

In 1959, armed with savings of only $1,800, William R. Larson opened his first restaurant in Menlo Park, California. He wanted to create a place where families could go to relax, to experience a real sense of community, and to share a superb pizza. Bill called his little restaurant Round Table Pizza Parlor.

By 1962, demand was extraordinary. With three locations already thriving, employees and customers saw an opportunity to expand Round Table through franchising. The hard work and dedication of these founding franchisees has driven our tremendous growth. After more than 50 years, we have expanded the Round Table family to more than 150 franchise groups operating some 500 restaurants.

Today, Round Table continues to serve up great tasting pizzas that customers crave. We roll our dough from scratch, add our fresh blend of three cheeses, and lavishly top our pizzas with only premium meats and garden fresh vegetables. We are also known for our unique specialty pizzas. Over the last 15 years, Round Table has introduced more than 30 successful new products, and we are considered a pioneer in pizza innovation.

The world has changed over the last 50 years since Bill Larson opened his first pizza parlor. The fast pace often leaves no time for a relaxing family meal. But like Bill, we still believe that serving families is Round Table’s most important role. Parents are looking for the chance to sit down as a family in a place that welcomes, respects and celebrates family meal time.

By serving a superb pizza and nurturing family connections in a comfortable place to gather, we can all be a part of bringing families closer together at Round Table for years to come.
