Role Overview

Provide The Nurse Practitioner (NP) for 29i Services provides advanced clinical care and health assessments within the 29i programs, including EFFC, RTC, JYF, and Bruner/New View. The NP delivers direct care to youth and adolescents across two clinic locations in Brooklyn and the Bronx, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and promoting positive health outcomes for individuals served.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical care, including health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for youth within the 29i clinic and designated programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OMH, OCFS, and ACS healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and program leadership to develop and coordinate care plans.
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with New York State practice regulations.
  • Document medical evaluations and treatment plans accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Provide health education to youth, families, and staff to promote health literacy and preventive care.
  • Participate in the development of healthcare policies, procedures, and clinical best practices.
  • Travel between the Bronx and Brooklyn clinic sites to provide care as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Licensure: Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license and RN license.
  • Certification: National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Family, Pediatric, or a relevant specialty.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of clinical experience in child welfare, primary care, clinic, or residential settings. (preferred) 
  • Skills: Strong clinical expertise, diagnostic acumen, and effective communication.
  • Preferred: Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHRs).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Based at the 29i clinic locations in Brooklyn and the Bronx, with regular travel between sites. Work is conducted in clinical settings within program facilities.
