About the Role: Responsible for supervising day-to-day health services activities. Health Services provide services and support for foster care, residential and ACS involved youth. This role is primarily providing health/support services to our youths in our Limited Secure Placement facility.


What You’ll Do

Other duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Provides general medical care and treatment to individuals supported by the program, on site.

• Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions.

• Provide health evaluations, assessments, and screenings with follow-ups. Review all Pediatric guidelines for care, including immunizations and testing

• Records physical findings based on the patient’s condition.

• Participate in clinical team and other health professional to prepare comprehensive patient care plan utilizing historical and current information

• Conducts and assists in medical examination of youth after incidents.

• Provides health education to youth supported, including reproductive health education

• On call for all triage, sick, urgent and quick coverage, questions and consult calls for assigned programs (if this pertains to the Program that you are covering).

• Administer Medication.

• Train staff.

• Other duties may be assigned within your scope of practice.

Qualifications

• New York State Registered Nurse.

• BCLS certification

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university preferred.

• Pediatric experience preferred but not required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full time position-hours are based upon the needs of the Program and will be discussed prior to employment.
