Role Overview

Provide clinical leadership to foster and maintain a person-centered therapeutic environment, allowing individuals with developmental disabilities to reach their maximum potential. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide clinical and administrative supervision to a team of Behavior Intervention Specialists. 
  • Develop and oversee Person-Centered Behavior Support Plans based on Functional Behavioral Assessments. 
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create effective, person-centered behavioral interventions. 
  • Review and audit behavior support documentation to ensure compliance with OPWDD standards and best practices. 
  • Monitor, maintain, and analyze behavioral data for individuals on the assigned caseload. 
  • Participate in service planning meetings and coordinate behavioral supports across residential and day program settings. 
  • Provide counseling, therapeutic support, and model positive behavioral interventions for individuals served.
  • Train and coach staff on behavior support strategies and individual clinical needs through team meetings and ongoing guidance. 
  • Conduct behavioral assessments and complete all required documentation, including monthly progress notes, accurately and on time.
  • Maintain regular communication with service providers to ensure coordinated, consistent care. 
  • Uphold HIPAA confidentiality standards while demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to organizational goals. 
  • Participate in committee meetings and perform additional duties as assigned to support program operations.

Required Qualifications

  • BCBA or other clinical license with OPWDD experience required
  • Experience working with individuals with varying degrees of intellectual/developmental disabilities a must.
  • Previous supervisory experience a plus 
  • Excellent organizational/communication/writing skills.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full-time position, with one remote day optional.  Monday-Friday, some flexibility of scheduled hours
