As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will support the revenue accounting operations of Riot Games Korea. You will own key operational workstreams related to billing, accounts receivable, collections, and month-end close, while also supporting revenue recognition, reporting, and analytical review activities across key revenue streams, with a primary focus on game revenue and esports revenue. This is a hands-on role that requires strong communication, high attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with both local and global teams. As a Rioter in Seoul, you’ll join a tight-knit group of passionate professionals who care deeply about serving players in Korea and around the world. 

You will report to Sr. Manager, Accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the day-to-day revenue operations for Riot Games Korea, including invoicing, accounts receivable monitoring, collection follow-up, and related month-end close activities
  • Prepare and enter journal entries related to accounts receivable, revenue, cash receipts, and related adjustments within the established month-end reporting schedule
  • Prepare account reconciliations and monthly reporting packages for revenue-related accounts
  • Support the monthly revenue recognition and close process in accordance with company policies and reporting requirements
  • Perform analytical reviews of revenue-related balances, trends, and fluctuations, investigating unusual items and escalating or proposing solutions as needed
  • Manage the operational billing process by preparing invoices accurately and timely, maintaining billing support, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues
  • Review accounts receivable aging regularly, follow up on overdue balances, and support timely cash collection and issue resolution
  • Work with business teams to ensure revenue-related supporting documents are complete, accurate, and aligned with internal policies
  • Support the review of related-party and intercompany transactions that affect billing, settlements, or revenue-related balances
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Payments, and Central teams to support revenue operations and improve process execution
  • Maintain clear and reliable documentation for revenue processes, reconciliations, and operational decisions
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to strengthen controls, reduce manual work, and improve the scalability of revenue and AR operations
  • Support external audit requests and local statutory reporting matters related to revenue and accounts receivable

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or a related finance role, with exposure to month-end close and account reconciliation processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and regions
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and organizational skills
  • A curious and proactive mindset, with a strong willingness to ask the right questions to uncover the bigger picture behind operational and financial matters.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and follow through in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, collaborative, and professional attitude, with the ability to build strong working relationships across teams

Desired Qualifications:

  • CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred
  • Big 4 experience required
  • Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS, particularly revenue recognition principles, is preferred
  • Experience supporting revenue accounting in a multi-entity or global business environment
  • Interest in the gaming, entertainment, digital platform, consumer products, or technology industries
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle
  • Strong Excel skills and a genuine interest in tools, systems, and automation to improve accounting processes
  • Experience working with high-volume transactions and operational revenue processes
