Senior Game Product Manager, Events - Wild Rift
About this role
Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. As the most played video game in the world, over 100 million play every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.
We’re looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who can teach us a thing or two. We promise to return the favor. Like us, you take play seriously; you’re passionate about games. We embrace those who see things differently, aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for constraints.
That's where you come in.
We are looking for a Senior Game Product Manager to join the Live-Experience team on League of Legends: Wild Rift. In this role, you will act as the product owner for events, responsible for defining the direction, structure, and quality bar of in-game events across each release.
You will work closely with cross-functional partners and collaborate with designers and producers responsible for day-to-day event creation and execution. This role ensures that events are aligned with product and patch goals, deliver meaningful player experiences, and support the long-term health and sustainability of the game.
Responsibilities:
- Define the event strategy for each patch, setting clear direction, priorities, and success criteria aligned with broader product and patch objectives.
- Own the overall planning and delivery outcomes of events, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality execution without directly owning day-to-day implementation for standard events.
- Translate Patch strategy and product goals into clear, executable event plans that support different player needs, including core engagement, key login moments, and differentiated player segments.
- Provide clear direction, design guidance, and quality reviews for events created by designers and producers on the Live-Experience team, ensuring alignment on goals, complexity, and player experience.
- Analyze post-launch performance, conduct holistic reviews, and apply learnings to continuously improve future events.
- Personally design and lead high-complexity large-scale or flagship events when needed, including complex events or mini-games, while thoughtfully integrating monetization execution in support of business goals.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional experience in product management or game producer roles, have a player-first mindset and sound judgment under complex constraints.
- Strong understanding of game products, with the ability to interpret version strategy and translate objectives into actionable live-event plans.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives, prioritize effectively, and drive projects forward with clarity.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with high standards for quality and player experience.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable learning and growing in a fast-moving environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working on mobile games or game products serving a global player audience
- Experience collaborating with international or cross-cultural teams
- Familiarity with data-informed decision making and event performance analysis
- Fluency in English.
Don’t forget to include a resume and cover letter. We receive a lot of applications, but we’ll notice a fun, well-written intro that shows us you take play seriously.
