We are actively seeking an Principal Oracle EBS Integration Architect. This is a remote role based in Brazil.
Position Summary
The Principal Oracle EBS Integration Architect builds and owns the integration layer between Rimini Street's Agentic ERP Platform and Oracle E-Business Suite environments. This role is responsible for designing and building the connectors, data mappings, and transaction flows that enable AI agents to read from and write to Oracle EBS safely and reliably. The broader Oracle integration roadmap includes JD Edwards and Siebel in future phases; this role focuses on EBS as the immediate priority.
Reporting to the VP, Platform Engineering, this specialist combines deep Oracle EBS domain knowledge with modern integration engineering skills. The ideal candidate understands EBS architectures, APIs, interface tables, concurrent programs, and data models at a level that allows them to design agent-safe integration patterns—defining which EBS operations become AI-consumable tools, handling transaction boundaries, and enforcing safe-write patterns across complex business processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oracle EBS Integration Architecture
Design and own the integration architecture between the Agentic ERP Platform and Oracle E-Business Suite.
Define the tool taxonomy for Oracle EBS: determine which APIs, PL/SQL procedures, and interface table operations become agent-consumable tools, and in what shape.
Design ISG REST wrapper patterns for EBS, exposing PL/SQL procedures via Integration Service Gateway for agent consumption.
Design transaction boundary management: commit/rollback strategies, concurrent request handling, and data consistency guarantees for agent-initiated operations.
Enforce the Park/Post pattern: every EBS write tool ships in safe (draft/hold) and full (post/submit) variants, ensuring agents can stage changes for human review before committing.
Implement the tiered autonomy progression for EBS tools: Read → Draft → Supervised → Autonomous, controlling which operations agents can execute at each trust level.
Connector Development
Build and maintain Oracle EBS connectors that translate platform requests into API calls, interface table inserts, or concurrent program submissions.
Implement data validation and transformation logic specific to EBS data models and business rules.
Design fallback mechanisms for integration path failures, including degraded-mode read-only access and queued write operations.
Build connection management for EBS environments: JDBC connection pooling, credential handling, and multi-instance support.
Domain Expertise & Guidance
Serve as the Oracle EBS subject matter expert for the engineering team, advising on EBS-specific constraints, capabilities, and best practices.
Guide MCP Server Developers on EBS-specific tool implementations, schema design, and smart response patterns.
Design test strategies for EBS integration: mock environments, data fixtures, and regression suites.
Document EBS integration patterns, known limitations, and troubleshooting guides for the engineering team.
Provide forward-looking input on JD Edwards and Siebel integration approaches as those phases approach.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with the Integration Lead (SAP) to ensure consistent integration patterns and shared tooling across ERP platforms.
Work with AI Data Engineers on Oracle data extraction for knowledge pipelines and retrieval systems.
Coordinate with QA Engineers on integration test coverage and validation strategies.
Provide input to the Security & Identity Lead on Oracle-specific authentication and authorization requirements.
Experience
12+ years of experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite, with deep knowledge of EBS modules, APIs, and data architecture.
5+ years of integration engineering experience: building APIs, connectors, or middleware for enterprise systems.
Hands-on experience with EBS integration interfaces: PL/SQL APIs, interface tables, concurrent programs, and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
Experience designing integration architectures for complex, multi-module EBS implementations.
Awareness of JD Edwards and/or Siebel is valued for future-phase planning.
Background in enterprise software support, Oracle consulting, or B2B platforms preferred.
Technical Skills
Required
Oracle E-Business Suite: APIs, interface tables, concurrent programs, and module data models.
Oracle PL/SQL for database-level integration and ISG REST wrapper development.
Java 21 with Quarkus 3.x for connector and tool server development.
RESTful API design and implementation.
PostgreSQL for platform-side data operations.
OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing across agent-to-tool-to-EBS integration boundaries.
Transaction management: commit/rollback strategies, idempotency, and concurrency handling.
Git version control and CI/CD practices.
Testing: integration test design, mock services, and contract testing.
Preferred
Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) or Oracle Integration Cloud.
Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or agent-tool interface patterns.
Understanding of durable execution patterns (Restate or equivalent) for long-running integration workflows.
JD Edwards experience: Business Services, orchestrations, and inclusive/exclusive security modes.
Siebel experience: Siebel Object Interfaces, EAI, and web services.
Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Autonomous Database.
Knowledge of Oracle SOA Suite or Oracle Service Bus.
Skills & Competencies
Deep Oracle EBS domain knowledge; understands ERP business processes, not just technical interfaces.
Integration mindset; designs for reliability, observability, and graceful failure handling.
Collaborative; works effectively with platform engineers, agent developers, and SAP integration counterparts.
Clear communicator; can translate Oracle-specific constraints into actionable guidance for the broader team.
Problem solver; experienced in diagnosing complex integration issues across system boundaries.
Self-motivated and effective in a remote environment.
Fluent in English (written and verbal).
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Oracle certifications (OCA, OCP, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
Experience in enterprise software support or Oracle EBS consulting.
Background in Rimini Street's supported Oracle product lines is a strong advantage.
Location & Travel
Location: Remote, Brazil
Travel: Minimal; occasional travel for team meetings or training
Language
Language: Fluent English required (written and verbal); Portuguese is a plus
