Asset Sales & Recycling Operations Intern (all genders) in Amsterdam

Amsterdam · Hybrid€599 – €600

About this role

THIS IS US

Dott is the European champion of shared micromobility. Created through the merger of operators TIER and Dott in March 2024, the company decided to move forward under the single app and brand Dott. With the mission of moving us closer, Dott facilitates easy urban travel, reduces pollution in cities, and decreases reliance on cars. Today, Dott deploys 200,000 shared vehicles in 400 cities and 20 countries across Europe and the Middle East. The 12 million users have generated over 500 million rides so far. The team is led by CEO Maxim Romain and Executive Chairman Henri Moissinac. For more information, visit www.ridedott.com.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Full-time, Intern contract (3-6 months), hybrid (3 times per week at the office).

We're looking for an intern to help turn this into a repeatable, well-documented, and proactively-run function. You'll work closely with the Corporate Strategy team and will own four things: cleaning up and documenting the internal process, building out a lightweight CRM to track deals and buyers, reaching out to potential operator buyers to grow the pipeline, and implementing a global recycling pathway for fleet assets that don't get resold. Beyond asset sales, you'll also help stand up recycling as a formal end-of-life pathway for fleet assets globally — for vehicles and batteries that aren't sold on, ensuring they're responsibly recycled rather than sitting in warehouses or being scrapped ad hoc. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who likes turning messy processes into clean systems and isn't afraid to pick up the phone or send the first email to a prospective buyer.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Process & documentation

  • Map and document the end-to-end asset sales workflow (deal framework → fleet availability check → pricing → approval → onboarding/KYC → contract → invoicing → payment confirmation → pickup logistics → export documentation)

  • Turn scattered SOPs, links, and tribal knowledge into a single, maintained playbook

  • Identify bottlenecks (e.g., battery testing, offboarding timing, invoice creation) and propose fixes to reduce cycle time

  • Standardize templates: customer overview emails, commercial invoices, pickup schedules, checklists for each stage

CRM & pipeline tracking

  • Set up and maintain a CRM (or lightweight tracker, e.g. Airtable/HubSpot/spreadsheet-based depending on tooling) to track: prospective and active buyers, deal stage, fleet/asset volumes, pricing, KYC/onboarding status, invoice and payment status, and pickup schedules

  • Ensure the CRM reflects the real process (KYC, Netsuite onboarding, IoT onboarding, contract status, AR/invoice status) so the team has one source of truth instead of scattered docs

  • Build simple reporting/dashboards so Corporate Strategy and Ops PMO can see deal status at a glance

Outreach to operators

  • Research and build a list of potential buyers — micromobility operators, refurbishers, and logistics/export partners who might be interested in surplus vehicles, batteries, or parts

  • Run outbound outreach (email/LinkedIn/calls) to generate buyer interest, using the current price list and asset availability as a starting point

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and log them into the CRM

  • Support the team in following up with buyers through the KYC, contract, and pickup scheduling steps

Recycling implementation (global fleet)

  • Help design and roll out a global process for recycling end-of-life vehicles and batteries that aren't resold — covering identification of recyclable assets, vendor/partner sourcing per region, compliance requirements (especially for battery disposal), and handoff from warehouse/logistics teams

  • Research and shortlist certified recycling partners across key markets, starting with regions with the highest volume of end-of-life assets

  • Build out process documentation and tracking for recycling alongside the resale CRM, so every asset's disposition (sold vs. recycled) is visible in one place

  • Track volumes, costs, and compliance status of recycling activity, and flag gaps or risks (e.g., markets without a recycling partner yet)

  • Coordinate with Ops PMO and Logistics on scheduling pickups/drop-offs for recycling, similar to how sales pickups are coordinated

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in business, economics, supply chain, operations, or a related field

  • Strong organizational skills and comfort building/maintaining structured trackers or CRMs (Airtable, HubSpot, Notion, Excel/Sheets, or similar)

  • Confident, professional written and verbal communication — comfortable reaching out cold to external companies

  • Process-oriented mindset: you notice when something is inefficient and want to fix it, not just work around it

  • Comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Ops, Logistics) and chasing information across teams

  • Detail-oriented, especially around numbers, dates, and documentation (this process touches invoicing, VAT, and export paperwork)

  • Nice to have: interest or experience in micromobility, logistics, sustainability/circular economy, or B2B sales/outreach

WHAT SUCCES LOOKS LIKE IN THE FIRST FEW MONTHS

  • A documented, easy-to-follow playbook for the asset sales process that a new team member could follow without tribal knowledge

  • A working CRM with all active and historical deals logged and kept up to date

  • A qualified pipeline of new operator buyers, with at least a handful of active conversations generated through your outreach

  • A defined recycling process for at least the highest-volume markets, with partners identified and a clear handoff from ops/logistics

WHAT YOU'LL GET

  • Direct exposure to Corporate Strategy and cross-functional work with Ops, Finance, and Legal

  • Ownership of a real, revenue-generating process from day one

  • Mentorship from the Corporate Strategy team
