Position Responsibilities:

 

  • ABC Compliance training, monitoring and risk mitigation: maximize and strengthen supplier engagement with distributors, including in an effort to modernize the industry, but while ensuring legal compliance during business participation in supplier programs
  • Work closely with the General Counsel and fellow Director, ABC Compliance on implementing ABC compliance strategies, training programs and risk mitigation practices
  • Serve as TTB and ABC compliance Subject Matter Expert (“SME”) for those states in which the company does business
  • Partner with the Reyes Holdings VP of Ethics and Compliance to ensure that the Reyes Holdings Open Door Policy is well understood and reinforce a culture of open communication among all employees in identifying and reporting potential non-compliance without fear of retaliation
  • Maximize and strengthen supplier engagement with distributors, including in an effort to modernize the industry, but while ensuring legal compliance during business participation in supplier programs
  • Support strategies to create equitable competition in a strong three-tiered system with keen focus on:
    • Commercial priorities
    • Key stakeholder trade associations
    • Competitive industries
    • Regulatory action
    • ABC compliance initiatives
    • Regulatory issues
  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Juris Doctorate and 10 plus years’ experience in compliance or legal work and 4 plus years of leadership experience.
  • 2+ years related experience in alcohol regulation.
  • Deep understanding of legislation and trade practice regulations and compliance.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  •  Multi-state background, experience across entire beverage alcohol industry.
