JOB SUMMARY:
The laboratory at Hebron Kentucky is seeking a Laboratory Technician who will perform the necessary activities related to cord blood or tissue processing or testing, which includes ABO, Hematology and Flow Cytometry.

The Laboratory Technician will be able to accurately maintain production records and documentation as well as maintain laboratory equipment. Will also be able to recognize and suggest solutions, new ideas and improvements. He or she must consistently meet quality specifications and understand and learn cGMP, cGTP and AABB Guidelines.

Work schedule is 4 10-hour days including one weekend day.

  • Hours are typically 6:30am – 5pm

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Train on all aspects of the cord blood processing or tissue processing and a basic scientific understanding of human cells.

  • Ability to use aseptic Technique.

  • Able to organize, establish and complete priorities.

  • Position requires handling blood and blood products; working with LN2 freezers; working with large LN2 vapor phase storage tanks.

  • Strict attention to detail and an outstanding work ethic.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative style in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Essential skills in MS Office and Excel.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in life or natural sciences

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Laboratory experience in an FDA-regulated environment.

  • Understanding of cGMP, cGTP, AABB Guidelines.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Clean room; Receiving and Labeling; Controlled Rate Freeze area, materials warehouse.

  • Requires the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, bend, stoop and stand for long periods of time, ascend and descend stairs.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $19.75-20.50/hr. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
