The Team Leader for Business Operations will lead a small team responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and administration of HMIE inspections across Scotland. This role ensures that inspection activity is supported by robust operational systems, timely logistics, and high-quality administrative support, enabling HM Inspectors to deliver their work efficiently and consistently.
Inspection Administration / Planning: Coordinate the scheduling and logistical planning of inspections, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and resource availability.
Team Leadership: Manage and support a team of administrative officers, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure high standards of delivery.
Operational Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day business operations related to inspections, including travel arrangements, accommodation bookings, and document preparation.
Process Improvement: Review and refine administrative processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and user experience for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Data Management: Ensure accurate recording and reporting of inspection data, including tracking progress, outcomes, and feedback.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding inspection logistics and administration.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure all inspection-related activities comply with HMIE protocols, Scottish Government policies, and data protection regulations.
Support Systems: Work closely with digital and IT teams to maintain and improve systems used for inspection planning and reporting.
