About this role
Do you have experience of complex case resolution? Would you thrive in a role where you can coach and develop a team to identify organisational risk? Do you have a passion for data analysis, finding trends, and preventing organisational risk? If so, our Monetary Value of Fraud and Error (MVFE) Team Manager role could be a great fit for you.
This is a temporary position running until 31st December 2026. As an MVFE Team Manager, your primary responsibility will be to support and manage a team of Measurement Fieldwork Officers to assess the level of fraud and error within the benefit caseload. You'll proactively support the team to identify and refer error cases for remedial action, while recommending controls to support continuous improvement. This work will involve producing regular reports that analyse risks, threats, and potential mitigations to reduce the impact of fraud and error.
In this role, you'll guide your team through complex queries and cases, with a strong focus on coaching and capability development to ensure a responsive and evolving service. Collaboration will be key, as you'll engage with a wide range of stakeholders across Social Security Scotland and the wider Scottish Government Programme. Additionally, you'll support the MVFE Team Leader in achieving team objectives and deliverables, while contributing to the longer-term strategic direction.
