Senior Robotics ML Engineer
About this role
REVEL is an AI robotics company developing physical intelligence for general-purpose humanoid robots. We capture the force, dexterity and intent of human work with our Neural Gambit wearable, and use it to train RAI, the intelligence that powers our robots. REVEL is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, with R&D and engineering facilities in Prague and Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. This role is on-site with our engineering team in the Czech Republic.
Our RAI team is responsible for the core AI systems that power robot autonomy. We are looking for a Senior Robotics ML Engineer to own the policy stack that turns Neural Gambit data into force-aware behaviour on GENESIS.
Responsibilities
Design and train Vision-Language-Action (VLA) policies on human-demonstration data
Build the force-expert that maps HD-sEMG signals into force on the robot policy
Close the sim-to-real loop in NVIDIA Isaac Sim
Build and optimise large-scale training pipelines across multi-node GPU clusters
Design evaluation frameworks for robustness and cross-task generalisation
Ship models that run on-board, in real time, on the robot
Requirements
Experience training modern deep-learning models for robotics or manipulation
Strong understanding of imitation learning, reinforcement learning, or VLA architectures
Proficiency in Python and PyTorch
Comfort working with messy, real-world sensor data
Strong software engineering and a bias to ship
Bonus qualifications
Experience with vision-language-action models or foundation models for robotics
Publication record in robot learning or manipulation
Experience deploying models to physical hardware

REVEL's mission is to build the future skilled workforce the world is running out of. We address the industries that are losing their most experienced workers faster than they can replace them, starting with precision manufacturing, skilled trades, retail and hospitality.
We build robots that perform a wide range of tasks at human-level dexterity. Our robots learn the way apprentices learn, by working alongside experts and internalizing the force, the intent, and the judgment behind every motion. This is the missing modality in robotics today, and it is why our robots work like skilled humans, not like robots.
We are based in San Francisco with R&D offices in Prague, and we are backed by leading European and US investors in deep tech and physical AI. Our team combines decades of performance capture and virtual production experience with hardware engineering from aerospace and industrial robotics.
If you are a manufacturer, a distribution partner, or a company facing a skilled labor shortage you cannot solve with hiring, we want to talk.
