To support ambitious growth and achieve our outstanding customer experience goals, you’ll work to ensure our processes are stable, identify issues, and that our medical devices meet requirements within our local Midwest distribution sites.

You’ll partner with ResMed QA Engineers, ResMed Operations, and External providers, assessing product, monitoring processes, and managing non-conformances.

Ideal for someone who understands warehouse operations, and who is eager to expand their Quality knowledge, and wishes to have a mix of physical warehouse activities, and office-based activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Led daily Distribution Center (DC) Incoming Quality Control (IQC) operations, serving as first-level escalation to resolve inspection issues and maintain material flow to fulfillment.

  • Managed IQC inspection equipment, tools, and workstations, ensuring operational readiness and compliance with DC quality requirements.

  • Executed the Wet Shipment Program within the DC, coordinating inspection, containment, and disposition to prevent downstream fulfillment delays.

  • Nonconformance management oversight for DC operations, including raising incidents, and executing QA holds, rework, or scrap decisions.

  • Provided hands-on quality support to internal and external operations fulfillment teams, resolving quality issues in real time on the warehouse floor.

  • Supported CAPA and External Quality Issue (EQI) actions by supplying DC data, supporting investigations, and ensuring containment effectiveness.

  • Conducted routine Gemba walks and 5S activities within the DC to identify handling, storage, and process gaps and drive immediate corrective actions.

  • Reviewed environmental control events impacting DC operations and escalated risks to engineering to prevent release of nonconforming product.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Clearly communicate changes in processes, to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Build trust and open relationships with stakeholders across organizations to enhance team effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, inventory, supply chain, and other internal teams to align quality objectives with operational goals.

Process Management

  • Implement structured updates, ensuring timely information flow and alignment on key priorities.

  • Take end-to-end ownership of tasks and processes

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a Distribution Warehouse environment, preferable in a Lead of Quality, Compliance, and/ or Inventory Management role.

  • Strong English language skills

  • Good Oral and written communication skills

  • Desired: experience in ISO 13485 and 9001, Medical Devices, Food safety or similar regulated environments

Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to work at the detailed level and keep an eye on the bigger picture

  • Comfortable with Physical handling of product for inspection

  • Confident with Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with ERP/WMS Systems

  • Ability to work independently on assigned projects and programs and manage priorities.

Work Environment

  • Warehouse environment. Incumbent will walk and may occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 40 lbs. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Must be flexible to work varying schedules, hours, weekends, and overtime as needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
