About this role

As a Tooling Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of all moulds, dies, and related tooling used in production. You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving tooling to support smooth manufacturing operations and uphold the highest quality standards. Working closely with Quality and Engineering, you’ll identify opportunities for continuous improvement, ensure tool availability, and contribute to efficient, safe, and high-quality production processes.

 

JOB DUTIES

  • Maintain, prepare, and oversee all moulds, dies, and related tooling to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Conduct post-production analyses to identify tooling wear, damage, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to resolve deviations, update Standard Work, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Clean, inspect, and prepare tooling for repair or next production use, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and execute repair and preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend tooling life.
  • Repair or replace worn or damaged tooling components promptly to support uninterrupted production.
  • Maintain accurate records of tooling maintenance, repair history, and scheduling documentation.
  • Support production with ad hoc troubleshooting and repairs on moulds, trim dies, and sprayer equipment.
  • Apply Standard Work procedures consistently and contribute to process improvements where needed.
  • Perform final quality checks and ensure tooling completeness, cleanliness, and readiness before release to production.

 

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, maintenance, or toolcrib environment.
  • Technical background with hands-on experience in metalwork or related mechanical trades.
  • Ability to lift and move tools and equipment safely.

 

WE VALUE

  • Experience with laser welding and precision repair techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of moulds, dies, and trim tooling design and maintenance.
