Summary:
The Craft – Equipment Coordinator, Civil/Electrical is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general operator duties at the project site.
Requirements:
  • Takes calls from rental vendors, project site personnel and delivery/pickup driver personnel throughout the day.
  • Updates the following trackers daily:
    • On-Site Equipment Tracker
    • Equipment Down Time Log
    • Missing Equipment Daily Inspection Log
  • Enters in requests for new equipment and calling off current onsite equipment via IFS application.
  • Communicates with discipline superintendents and foremen for follow up and review of status of equipment and compare that to on-site equipment tracker for accuracy.
  • Coordinates between project sites and F&E/rental vendors for preventative maintenance, repairs and any other equipment down time issues.
  • Receives and conducts inbound and outbound inspections on each new piece of equipment arriving or piece of equipment being returned for cleanliness, fuel level and damage assessment and fulfilling the inbound/outbound inspections on Procore.
  • Reviews daily operator’s inspections for accuracy and completeness and looking for any potential issues with equipment that need to be addressed and repaired.
  • Assists onsite mechanic with coordinating repairs to equipment onsite and/or calling 3rd Party Vendors or Fleet and Equipment group for repair requests.
  • Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
Safety:
  • Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows safe practices while working.
  • Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates “at risk” behaviors.
  • Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) occurs before scopes of work commence.
  • Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures.
  • Receives job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing.
  • Follows technical, quality and safety systems in place and determines appropriate action.
  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 1 or more years of equipment management experience required.
  • 2 or more years of general and/or solar construction experience required.
  • 1 or more years of inventory management experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically 76 to 100% required.
  • Strong Software Program skills such as MS Excel and Adobe or Bluebeam.
  • Knowledgeable with using Procore.
  • Must be able to handle phone calls with vendors and internal teams, attend meetings and provide status of equipment on site.
  • Must be able to understand, speak and write in English.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • General knowledge of preventative maintenance.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Able to operate equipment such as skid steer, telehandler, etc.
  • Experience with purchasing parts or experience as a parts runner.
  • General tool knowledge.
  • Size of solar projects worked on: 50MW or larger.
  • Experience with HeavyJob and HeavyJob Manager preferred.
  • Experience with using ToolWatch application.
  • Functional competencies include attention to detail, communication, casting the right shadow, accountability, and ethics and integrity.
Anticipated base range: $20.00 - $23.00
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
Per Diem of $128.57 daily to cover lodging, meals and travel during rotation.
