Security Supervisor
About this role
This position is responsible for the supervision of all Renewal, Inc. Security staff, building safety and security and ensure the productive operation of all security stations and functions. Supervisory responsibilities for this position include staffing, assisting in payroll completion, scheduling and adhering to and enforcing Renewal, Inc.'s policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include supervising the movement of reentrants on a twenty-four hour basis and reentrant accountability by the consistent enforcement of rules and regulations, coordinating large scale and daily searches and providing a safe environment for staff, reentrants and visitors. Individual will prioritize emergency and non-emergency issues and use discretion in various situations. This person will act as the point person in the Security department during extraordinary occurrences.
Eligibility Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perfvorm each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of High School diploma or GED equivalency and two years related experience required. One year of supervisory experience required. A Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field preferred. Valid Pennsylvania driver's license, Act 33/34 and a high degree of ethics required.
Ability to function in a team setting. Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Must be able to work well with people and have the ability to be assertive and remain calm in the event of a crisis and be capable of maintaining control in any given situation. Computer literacy a must.
