Definition

The Recovery House Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Renewal, Inc.'s licensed Joey's Place sober living program while providing comprehensive case management, peer support, and recovery-focused services to residents. This individual works closely with residents to develop, implement, and maintain individualized recovery plans; connect them with community resources; and coordinate care with internal and external treatment providers to support their immediate and long-term recovery goals.

The Recovery House Manager will monitor resident progress, promotes accountability, and ensures compliance with program guidelines and house rules while maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive living environment conducive to sustained recovery. Serving as both an advocate and mentor, this individual provides encouragement, guidance, and recovery-oriented support while fostering personal responsibility and positive decision-making. Through professionalism, leadership, and their own commitment to recovery, the Recovery House Manager serves as a positive role model, helping residents build the skills and stability necessary for long-term sobriety and successful community reintegration.

Eligibility Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

Education and/or Experience

The individual in this role must have a working knowledge of addiction treatment to include the 12-step program, treatment modalities, and recovery support systems. This individual should have familiarity with local mental health and homelessness community resources. This individual must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills and must possess a high level of personal ethical standards. Proven skills in problem solving as well as research and computer skills necessary 

A minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and sustained sobriety for at least two (2) years required. Driver’s license required. Prior experience working in a substance abuse treatment program and/or recovery housed preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Must complete DDAP required training within 6 months of hire.
